More often now subject matter experts are being called on to train. Have you been asked to train or are you are trainer? Here is an acronym to help remember some principles of adult learning: LEARN

-Learner driven: If learners understand the “why” they’ll feel more motivated.
-Experiential:Adults who learn by doing gain more compared to a lecture class. Relevance also motivates adults to learn/do.
-Ability to measure: Define concepts and tell learners as plainly as possible what will be evaluated.
-Residual: Adult learning will be more effective if new knowledge can be related to existing knowledge of facts, experience or information. Help learners by elaborating or restating on what participants mention during a discussion. This encourages learns to participate as it lowers risks of participating.
-Numerous Learning styles: Learns usually exhibit a variety of learning styles such as visual, auditory, learning by trial and error, tactical. To be effective, it is better to use a variety of instructional methods so as to reach learners with different learning styles.

Got an acronym to share?

How do you ensure that all stakeholders are identified?

One of the hallmarks of systems engineering is the attention paid the whole life cycle of the system under development (requirements right through to retirement) - stakeholders for each stage of the product life cycle are identified, etc.

As a Business Analyst, how can you ensure that a stake holder is not missed? I ask this in relation to an item I saw online recently:
